Mao’s Last Dancer in Concert

Bruce Beresford will be presenting a Night at the Movies with the Queensland Orchestra conducted by Marc Taddei at the Brisbane City Hall Auditorium, 7pm Friday 1 May 2009.
The concert will include the world premiere of an 18 minute suite of CG’s music for Mao’s Last Dancer.

Horn Concerto Blog and Forum

CG has commenced his blog at www.hornconcerto.net. A forum has also been activated.
The website will follow, step by step, the process of composing a large orchestral work.
Recording Sessions

CG was back in the studio on 1st March to record some additional music for Daybreakers.
He also recorded Night Is What Remains (for violin, violoncello and strings) which will be on the website in late April.
A four minute excerpt of the Horn Concerto was also recorded with Robert Johnson for later inclusion on HornConcerto.net.
The rest of the week was devoted to finalizing the editing and mixing of the soundtrack albums of both Daybreakers and Mao’s Last Dancer.
